Here is wehre the painitng starts, I applied a
base coat of grey over anything green to form a 'stone base' and
applied a splatter pattern of black and white to give it a
granite like texture. I then
used reds and browns to do the veins and to age the bones. The
bubbles
of foam were also painted with reds to make them appear fleshy and
gutsy....
Well I know this isn't the most complete or informative how-to but
that's what I have and basically how my fountain came to life .
Airbrushing works well on the aging, and initial coats on the
foam and its folds. I'm planning on brushing it up a bit with
more brilliant colors for Halloween
2002.
