Here I started fitting the skulls and parts for
the fountains "Head" top. I used an old 4 quart container in the
center to prop things up, and eventually use it to have a source to
create fog
from (ultrasonic didn't work well with a breeze, maybe dry ice for
outside this year).
The pump is mounted to the plexiglass , with a
simple through hole, and the inlet is trimmed so it is below the
waterline (um
bloodline) when it is filled. This was then glued in place
creating
the top reservior of the fountain.
The rightmost picture shows the pump in place, and the 3rd picture
shows the same angle with a skull that was modified to fit over and
hide the pump.
The pump came with a 90 degree fitting that happened to accept the 1"
conduit quite nicely. A thigh bone and shoulder blade were used to make
the top
cascade, they were simply drilled and srewed together, they can be
easily
removed to access the fog tank. The main head at the top had a 1"
hole
drilled from it's underside, and various openings in the eyes, nose etc
were made for the blood to gush out .
The top end of the conduit was wrapped in electrical tape to form a
wedge
seal that the skull attaches to.
