Notes: The first 2 pictures have the Large
Christmas tree base on the bottom, this is the bottom of the assembly,
it is quite stable.
As you can see the center section has
already been covered with foam and larger, long bones to cover the
Large PVC pipe
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th show the underside of the top ( it's easier to
flip the the whole thing over to work on the underside of the top).
Basically you lay in various bones to create the illusion of some sort
of support,
then fill in the gaps with foam (which itself can look body part
ish
) then trim the outside edges for the finishing
Now I flipped it upright (the small base up) and
did more detailing in foam to cover up
the
thumbscrews on the bases
The left pictures (1st & 3rd) show the initial foaming, and the
right
ones (2nd & 4th) show after some shaping
Note: cover the thumbscrews with foam and
let it partially set up before you form it. Be sure to do this after
about
5 minutes or so if you let it go too long your modeling wont happen
exactly as planned. The foam should basically have skinned over and be
tacky to
the touch NOT STICKY ! round it off and shape it like the end of
a
bone or whatever you wish.
At this point I started experimenting with Veins on the base of the
fountain (last two pictures)
